{the table}

From our beginning, we have gathered around shared meals and shared stories. Partly, we’ve enjoyed this grace because two in our community are culinary artists. More than this, however, we believe in the sacramental nature of simple beauties. We believe Jesus meets with us in our laughter and in our friendship and in the many conversations we share wrestling with our disappointments and sin as well as reveling in our hopes and joys.
We want to offer this same experience to a small number of pastors The Table will provide an intimate, beautiful communal setting in the Blue Ridge mountains where we will give attention to the state of our soul and the true longings of our heart. The time will be structured around textured conversations, experiential encounters, quiet and leisure. The Table is not a conference. In some ways, it is more than a retreat. The Table will offer meaningful engagement with God emerging from the context of hospitality, friendship and a shared sense of both our brokenness and our hope in God’s restoration. {when} April 26 – May 1, 2010 {where} Blue Ridge House / Wintergreen, Virginia {guides} Ken Edwards (spiritual director) and Genesis Project cohorts {how} By application, space limited {cost} Our gift, funded by Genesis Project.
